Okay, here’s the deal -- The Relatives is a co-ed, 9-bed emergency shelter for runaway, homeless, and other youth in crisis from ages 7-17. Our main concern is providing you a safe place while helping you work through the issues that led to seeking help.

We also operate a 24-hour CRISIS HOTLINE for youth and families that need help, but don’t know where else to turn. Yeah, 24-hours means you can call at 4 in the morning or on Christmas Day.

Staying at The Relatives is limited to 14 days. There’s no charge (FREE) to you or your family if you stay here. Our expenses are paid for by federal, state and local grants, foundations, corporations, individuals and the United Way of the Central Carolinas – that’s grownups, and some other kids, too, who care about helping you out.

So where did we get this strange name? Read Our History to find out.

While on our Web site check out the stuff in Staying Here and in FAQs, Frequently Asked Questions, cause, yeah, we do have some rules.
